Prop-2-en-1-amine · 3-Aminopropene · 2-Propen-1-amine
The simplest unsaturated primary amine — a mobile, strongly ammoniacal liquid carrying both an amine and a vinyl group. That double handle is what makes it a building block for antifungal actives, cationic polymers and agrochemicals. Supplied by Chelora Amines in drums and bulk with COA and SDS.

Allylamine is made industrially from allyl chloride and ammonia, and behaves as a typical strong primary amine while keeping the allyl double bond free for addition, polymerisation and metal-catalysed coupling. Both reactive sites in one small molecule are the reason it appears so often as a first step in multi-stage synthesis.
It is volatile, air sensitive and highly flammable, so it is normally handled in closed systems under nitrogen. Vapour is heavier than air and will travel to a distant ignition source, which drives most of the storage rules below.

Monomer for cationic polymers used in water treatment, paper retention aids and flocculation.
Intermediate for crop-protection actives, vulcanisation accelerators and corrosion inhibitors.
Plasma-polymerised allylamine films used to amine-functionalise biomaterials and membranes.

180 kg MS drums under nitrogen, ISO tanks for bulk movements, and 25 kg / 5 kg packs for pilot quantities. Small glass bottles available for laboratory use.
Allylamine is registered under CAS number 107-11-9, EC number 203-463-9, with the molecular formula C3H7N and a molecular weight of 57.09 g/mol.
It is an intermediate rather than an end product — mainly for allylamine antifungal actives such as terbinafine, for polyallylamine cationic polymers used in water treatment and papermaking, and for agrochemical and rubber-chemical synthesis.
Yes. Its flash point is around −29 °C, so vapour-air mixtures are explosive at room temperature. It must be handled in closed systems with explosion-proof equipment and stored away from all ignition sources.
It is miscible with water in all proportions and also dissolves in common alcohols and ethers, so aqueous and alcoholic process systems are both workable.
Chelora Amines supplies allylamine in 180 kg MS drums under nitrogen and in ISO tanks for bulk volumes, classified as UN 2334, Class 6.1 (3), PG I, with a certificate of analysis and safety data sheet on every despatch.
