Aliphatic amines (C1–C4)
Short-chain primary, secondary and tertiary amines. They are strong, volatile bases and the starting point for a large share of pharma intermediates, crop-protection actives and rubber chemicals. The lightest members (methylamine, trimethylamine, ethylamine) are gases at room temperature and are handled as aqueous solutions.
In this family: Methylamine, Trimethylamine, Ethylamine, Diethylamine, Triethylamine, n-Propylamine, Isopropylamine, n-Butylamine, Isobutylamine, sec-Butylamine, tert-Butylamine, Diisopropylamine, Di-n-Butylamine.
