Amines, chelating agents, phosphonates and chelated micronutrients for the bulk drug units at Patancheru and Jeedimetla, the vaccine and biotech plants in Genome Valley, the paper mill at Bhadrachalam and the water treatment plants that keep all of them running.
Nearly a third of India's bulk drug capacity sits inside an hour of Hyderabad. Patancheru, Bollaram, Pashamylaram, Jeedimetla and Gaddapotharam run continuous processes where a delayed drum of triethylamine or an off-spec chelate does not slow a batch down, it stops it. That is the requirement this page is built around.
Around that core, the state consumes a very different mix. Bhadrachalam needs sequestrants for peroxide bleaching. Ramagundam and Kothagudem need boiler and cooling water chemistry that survives high-silica feed water. Sircilla and the Kakatiya textile park need hardness control in scouring and dyeing. Miryalaguda's rice belt and the cotton and chilli districts around Warangal and Khammam need chelated micronutrients that stay available in high-pH red soils.
We stock for all of it and dispatch from Hyderabad, so a same-day cut-off order reaches most of the Rangareddy and Sangareddy estates before the next shift starts. More about how we source and test, or see the full product range.
Fifty-five items held for Telangana buyers across four families. Select any tile and the panel updates with its grade, packing and end use.
Most chelate complaints are selection problems rather than quality problems. This is the comparison buyers here ask us for before they trial a grade.
| Chelate | Works across | Holds best | Biodegradable | Use it when | Avoid when |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EDTA salts | pH 4 – 11 | Calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, zinc | No | General hardness and metal control at the lowest cost per kilo of sequestration. | Effluent consent limits chelating agents, or the formulation is label-sensitive. |
| DTPA salts | pH 4 – 14 | Iron and manganese, especially at high alkalinity | No | Peroxide bleaching, high-pH process water and anywhere EDTA releases its metal. | Cost per kilo is the deciding factor and the system is mildly alkaline at most. |
| HEDTA | pH 7 – 14 | Iron in strongly alkaline systems | Partially | Alkaline cleaners and agricultural chelate blends needing iron stability above pH 9. | The system runs acidic; the advantage disappears below neutral. |
| NTA | pH 3 – 12 | Calcium and magnesium | Yes | Detergent building where a low-cost readily degradable builder is acceptable. | The product is exported; several markets restrict NTA in consumer formulations. |
| GLDA | pH 2 – 14 | Calcium, iron, copper across the widest window | Readily | You need EDTA-like performance with a clean effluent and label position. | Budget is fixed at commodity EDTA pricing. |
| MGDA | pH 4 – 14 | Calcium and magnesium at speed | Readily | Automatic dishwash and institutional cleaning replacing phosphate builders. | Heavy iron or manganese control is the main job. |
| IDS | pH 5 – 12 | Calcium and heavy metals | Readily | Cleaning products and micronutrient formulations needing a mild, degradable chelate. | Extreme pH or high-temperature service is involved. |
| Sodium gluconate | pH 9 – 14 | Iron and aluminium in caustic systems | Readily | Bottle wash, alkaline degreasing, aluminium etch and concrete set control. | The system is neutral or acidic; gluconate needs alkalinity to work. |
| Phosphonates (HEDP, ATMP, PBTC, DTPMP) | pH 6 – 10 typical | Threshold scale control at sub-stoichiometric dose | No | Cooling towers, boilers and RO circuits where you inhibit scale rather than chelate it out. | Phosphorus discharge is capped, or free chlorine is high and PBTC is not used. |
| EDDHA-Fe | pH up to 10 in soil | Iron only, but holds where nothing else does | No | Calcareous, high-bicarbonate soils where EDTA-Fe and DTPA-Fe both fail. | Soil pH is below about 7 and a cheaper iron chelate will do the job. |
Send your pH range, temperature, target metal and effluent constraints and we will shortlist two grades for a trial rather than quoting the one with the best margin. Start with an enquiry.
Open a sector to see what it consumes and where those plants sit.
The largest single draw on our stock. Continuous and campaign plants need acid scavengers, catalysts and resolving agents delivered against a production calendar, with documentation that survives a regulatory audit. First lots are supplied small so QC can release the grade before a standing order opens.
Buffer preparation, equipment cleaning and formulation work where trace metal content matters more than headline assay. Low-metal chelate grades and full elemental impurity data are supplied on request rather than as an exception.
Peroxide bleaching stands or falls on metal control. Iron and manganese carried in with pulp or process water decompose peroxide before it reaches the fibre, and the cost shows up as chemical consumption rather than as a visible fault.
Telangana runs a lot of plant on hard, high-silica bore water with heavy chlorination. That combination breaks ordinary scale inhibitor programmes, which is why phosphonate choice matters more here than the dose rate does.
Hardness control through scouring, peroxide stabilisation in bleaching, and soaping-off after reactive dyeing. Shade repeatability between lots usually traces back to water and sequestrant, not to the dye.
Zinc deficiency in transplanted paddy and iron chlorosis in chilli and cotton are the two recurring problems. Under high-bicarbonate irrigation water, EDTA-Fe loses hold and EDDHA is the grade that actually delivers iron to the crop.
Alkaline degreasing, electroless plating baths and pickling line control, plus corrosion inhibition in the coolant and metalworking fluids used across the engineering cluster.
Neutralising amines for water-based systems, epoxy hardeners for floor and tank coatings, and set control in ready-mix and precast work.
Indicative for stock items on a confirmed order. Bulk tanker movements are scheduled separately.

Assay, appearance, moisture, pH and heavy metals reported against the batch number printed on the pack, not a generic specimen sheet.
A sealed sample from every dispatched lot is held, so a query raised months later is settled against the material you actually received.
For a new grade or a first order, a small lot goes out with full documents so your QC can release it before the commercial quantity moves.
Supplied on request for regulated pharmaceutical and biotech buyers who need it for their own risk assessment.
GHS labels, UN-approved packaging for classified goods, TREM cards where required, and the e-way bill and LR issued with the invoice.
Repacking into your pack sizes, own-label chelated micronutrient mixtures and blends made to a written formulation.
Yes, for stock items ordered before the midday cut-off, within the Hyderabad and Rangareddy ring. Sangareddy and Medak estates including Patancheru, Bollaram and Pashamylaram are next working day.
Yes, for products where a monograph grade exists, including EDTA salts and several amines. Name the monograph you work to in the enquiry so the correct grade and documentation are quoted rather than a technical grade with a reworded certificate.
One 25 kg bag for powders, one drum for liquid amines, and 1 kg packs for chelated micronutrients. Trial quantities for plant evaluation are arranged before a commercial order.
GLDA, MGDA and IDS are the readily biodegradable alternatives and cover most cleaning and process applications. Performance is not identical, so send your pH range, temperature and the metal you need to hold and we will suggest the closest match for a trial.
PBTC holds up better than HEDP or ATMP under continuous chlorination, which is the usual situation on shared industrial water in this region. Share your water analysis and cycles of concentration and we will point you to the right one.
In alkaline, calcareous soils and under high-bicarbonate irrigation water, EDTA-Fe releases its iron before the plant can take it up. EDDHA-Fe is the grade that holds, and its performance depends on the ortho-ortho fraction, which should be stated on the certificate of analysis alongside total iron.
Yes. We repack into your pack sizes and produce chelated micronutrient mixtures and other blends to a written formulation, under your label where required.
Assay tells you how much of the named salt is present. Chelation value, usually reported as mg of calcium carbonate sequestered per gram, tells you how much work the material will actually do. Two lots at the same assay can differ in performance if the water of crystallisation or the sodium content differs, so buy on chelation value for process use.
Yes. For repeat volumes we set a standing monthly schedule with agreed pricing mechanics, so you stop raising urgent orders and we hold the right stock. Amine and chelate prices move with feedstock, so contracts carry a stated review basis rather than a fixed rate that neither side can honour.
Yes, in UN-approved packaging with GHS labelling, the correct transport documents and a TREM card where required. Low-flash amines move on vehicles suited to the class rather than on a general goods truck.
Yes. Alongside Telangana we dispatch to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, and handle export consignments. See the full range.
None of these are supply problems. They are the failures we see most often after material has already reached site.
